Misadventures in Dating is based on my experiences as a young woman trying to make sense of relationships, human behavior, romance and the random encounters I have on the day-to-day. Most of the time “what the fuck?” doesn’t even cover it.

This blog started as an experiment in dating, a mini-ethnography of the ways men interact with a woman such as myself. But it quickly moved away from that. Once I started to meet the characters you’ll read about, and sharing those encounters with friends, Misadventures in Dating was born.

The thoughts and experiences shared here are meant to be a learning tool, an opportunity for those people on both sides of the coin to apply the situations to themselves. I hope you’ll be able to see awkwardness, often sexual awkwardness, for what it is, try to be mature, and most of all, not at a fool- no matter how tempting it seems.
